This is such devastating news. Not only was Hernan a fantastic teacher and dancer, but he had the sunniest disposition and the widest smile. He loved to clown around and make others laugh. His death is such a loss to all who knew him. He will be sorely missed by the tango community, and certainly by the dancers in Toronto who were fortunate enough to experience his workshops and his camaraderie.

Hernan Obispo in Toulouse...

"Thursday evening, at the House of the Tango in
Toulouse, there will be an unusual practica. We will
pay homage to our friends Hernan and Imilie. And we
will pay homage to them through tango. Several artists
tangueros intend to be with us this evening :
Mariposa, Jorge and Ganzza Trmo, Pepe and his son Yvan
, Flabio of Montpellier with its partner and his
guitar, his father, singer of the group Che Bando (and
maybe part of Che Bando), Fernando Maguna... Sandrine
and Benont will be there to have us listen to the
preferred discs of Hernan. Thanks to them all. We will
be perhaps a little diboussolis, as with one crowned
hangover. But, it will not be necessary to cry...
promised? You allknow that Argentina is in a
disastrous economic situation. Perhaps you do not know
it , but Hernan's father is in a very difficult
situation (it is Hernan which ensured his
subsistence). After the disappearance of his wife last
year, he loses his only son today. Corina, the cousin
of Hernan, will set out again for Argentina, she is
not herself in an easy situation. We want to help
them, as we want to also help the family of Emilie.
Thursday evening, all of the receipts will be versed
to them. But we will take also a collection from you
all and you can give what you can. For those who
cannot come and would like to send something, send

Toulouse. We opened a special account with the Savings
