If I understood correctly , Randy Cook came from USA all the way down ( hours and hours of flights and plane connections ) , to be rejected by a person belonging to his own tango community , at Dandi Milonga.
If this is not a record of "bouncing" , is the best performance I have ever heard :):)
Warm regards

When I was in graduate school, a fellow graduate student told me about an
interesting experience. He was at a professional meeting. He was talking
to a professor from another university when a professor from the
university where we were students walked up and greeted the professor from
the other university. Realizing that my fellow gradaute student and the
professor from my university did not know each other, the professor from
the other university introduced the two. The professor from my university
reportedly said, "I do not go to professional meetings to meet with
students from my own university" and immediately walked away.

Similarly, I have heard people comment that they have told similar things
when asking a person from their own city to dance when they are attending
tango events in other cities.

Of course, had Randy Cook danced with the woman from his own city, he
would not be dancing with an Argentine woman.

With best regards,
Steve
