warm regards
alberto gesualdi
buenos aires

Noticias: Nobody would suspect that your partner in tango is a brazilian guy
Godoy: Amazing, isnt`it ? But Junior (Cervilla) suffered a lot of discrimination since he started dancing here . " You brazilian never will learn to dance ", or " go back to your country and earn your food there ", said to him. I get crazy when I listen " damned bolivians" , My father is paraguayan and in my house we were raised with a different education. I dance with an artist of a first level , it doesn t matter where he is born. He keep his attention focused on us all the time. It was a great experience.

Noticias: The Rolling Stones hired you for a private show when they came to Argentina , do you teach to dance to Mick Jagger ?
Godoy: No, we try some steps with (Keith) Richards and (Ron) Wood. We have a lot of laughs and fun ! After the show we keep talking for an hour, they even wanted to go to a milonga ... obiously it was not possible. It was fabulous. Jagger was fascinated, he keep sitting at a sofa doing this ( she makes some gestures)

Noticias: You split from Diego Romay after a five years marriage , is difficult to keep a couple in this environment ?
Godoy: It is not easy (laughs). It depends on the moment of each one.I am in a good professional moment and I have fought all my life for this space. I think we have different priorities and I also think there is too much intolerance within the couples, something that I reannalyze quite often. I was in a personal moment of a lot of internal revolting, making order on things from my past.

Noticias:; Do you feel you was intolerant ?
Godoy: We have had always a good relationship, but I think I do not give me a chance. Maybe I do not fight for the relationship, I was too much enclosed into my personal things. It has to do with my hermetic attitude.... anyway, I would prefer not to kelp talking too much more about this...

Noticias: They say that when women split their couple "throw the house through the window" and you pose naked for Playboy....
Godoy (laughs): It was so strong ! When they call me I thought that maybe they wanted to kidnap me. It sounded like a hoax ... I made some phone calls and get really sure that it was a serious proposal. But I don t know if it is so real that thing of "throwing the house through the window" , even though in many cases it happens. In my case was the contrary, I get inside me a lot .. I change from shrinker and I am working on many paths to my self .. And the proposal of Playboy looked fantastic, and I enjoyed it. I do not feel bad at any moment , the photos delighted me, I would like to put all of them that were taken.

Noticias: Do not feel shyness having to take your clothes out ?
Godoy;: Shyness would have feel if I would make a naughty photo , that would not have relation with me.. I spent the photo session enjoying and I liked,. June 30th was the magazine on the street, just the same day than my birthday . A very nice present .

Noticias: Any love knocking at the door ??
Godoy: Well.... no, I prefer to be more recovered from the experience of splitting. Anyway... I am needing now to get on love again !!

interview by Monica Soraci, Noticias magazine staff.

Me sonaba a verso?
Godoy: Ehhh? no, prefiero estar m?s entera. Aunque ya necesito volver a enamorarme. l

Thanks for the writeup, Alberto-- you've done us all a great favor, and
I appreciate the time you took with it.

My personal thanks, too, to all those who were presumptuous enough to
speak for "most people." It's a source of constant amusement for me, to
watch how, time and again, it's the ignorant folks who've never
exchanged two words with a stripper, much less any actor who's ever done
a nude scene, that decide to speak for the herd when it comes to
Playboy-- a magazine whose content has been consistently More
Intelligent than 99% of cable television (and most other magazines as
well). Your neo-puritan reaction to the female figure really makes me
wonder what you'd think of, say, the Louvre. Or half the public beaches
in Europe.

As for you and your naughty little shoe-photos, Chas... I think you
should paste a digital fig-leaf over that male model's nipple. I'll help
you petition the shoe manufacturers to produce designs that aren't so
inappropriately sexy. For tango dancing, at least. Enlightened women
really hate sexy heels.

Yikes, Jake, I sure hope you're wrong about that last line
"Enlightened women really hate sexy heels."

I believe the most enlightened women look for shoes that are gorgeous and
comfortable, to boot!

Well, Jake, how about adding some nice full size picture of yourself to your
website then, maybe next to your translations of tango lyrics?
All we get to see is your head.

Actually, I think, some women would rather risk breaking their neck than
give up wearing 4 inch Comme il fauts (though I hear they are very well
balanced and therefore fairly safe. Unless you get stepped on by one of
those stilettos, like my friend did...)
I am a flatland person, but I do dance in comfy 3,5"Tara shoes, though I
have been asked to dance even at times when I had nothing but my socks on
(from the ankle down, mind you)

Just to avoid a flood of tourists on our (already crowded) beaches:

the women on our public beaches don't all look like Mora Godoy.
