Fighting on the dance floor...Sounds like why married couples should not play
bridge! Leads to divorce and often worse!
Speaking for myself, it is very tough (almost scary) to dance close embrace -
cheek to cheek, torso to torso - with a beautiful lady with whom you have
never before spoken, or hardly know...
And then, as you dance with her, if you are both very lucky, you discover
that there is a strong physical and mental connection between you... both leader
and follower...
When the dance ends, you sometimes have to kick yourself and remind yourself
that it was just a dance! Enjoy the feelings folks!

I had that problem too, a few years ago. In North America, the personal
space is big compared to many other cultures. I realized that when I
first arrived in Uruguay. In most social situations, people stand or
sit much closer to each other. It's even more pronounced on crowded
buses or elevators, where physical contact is common. Being Chinese,
physical contact, especially between persons of different genders, is
even more of a taboo. It took me some time to overcome this mentality.
Looking back now, my handling of the physical aspect of tango is
similar to my handling of the emotional aspect of tango. It is an
exquisite feeling to dance the tango with someone when there are great
physical and, more importantly, emotional connections. You have to be
receptive to both when you are dancing. However, once the dancing is
over, the rules revert back to that of the normal social situations of
your society, wherever that maybe.
Search from anywhere on the Web and block those annoying pop-ups.
