Dear listeros and listeras

The notice came as a lightning from Paris , the same city that host the Sexteto Mayor on 1981 when they make a succesfull premiere at "Les trottoirs" , the mithical place where the " tango argentino" project started to walk until in 1986 New York "discover" it again .

A strange feeling, to receive notices from time to time , about argentine artists and musicians that are performing at other countries , when death takes them (and us ) by surprise.

Within some time from now, Jose Libertella will be cherished as a person that always try to give and to share with other people his gifts , in a humble way , very quietly .

For those who have been able to listen him and the Sexteto Mayor live ,as it was my case , there will remain for ever the feeling that a musical group that fit together . As simple as that , they fit together . They started to play , and it was a musical box , that assemble on stage,with a neat sound , and an exquisite tempo. Wether the tangos they played were to dance or to listen , it was a matter that was make clear by Pepe always , at leat at local performances in Buenos Aires. He say " we would like to play the following theme for you to listen" and we sit and listen . And then he say " we have this theme now that we think is for dancing " and there we go , flooding the dance floor .

Farewell Don Josi !!!!! We will miss you .
