Dear Keith:
To bad you had to send this to me personally and not share your feelings
with the rest of the members of the Tango-L.
I am happy to hear that this one small Sicilian-American woman from New
Orleans has the power to make you sick.
By the way, I pray for the people of Iraq and anyone who needs a pray. You
will surely need one someday.

Now dear Michele enough is enough.
Tango-L is not a tool for your vengeance.
Keith did it right when he expressed his resentment only towards you, since
- it was addressed to you
- has no tango content
- is absolutely not relevant to tango-l members,
- is not within the excepted standards on the list
Posting a private mail on a public forum only to cause another member harm
(only because he has a negative opinion about you) is quite unethical, not
to mention that Keith now has a good case if he wants to litigate. Keep your
personal debates over non-tango matters between yourselves, please.
NB: Vendetta and terrorism are from the same roots. None of them are
acceptable.

Dear Michele and List,
I agree with Michele that the personal attack on her was uncalled for. There are a lot of things that I personally don't like to read on this list, but that is no reason to send a private flame. I think it would be gracious for whoever sent her the flame to send her an apology (it doesn't have to be on tango-l, of course).
Michele's original post did remind us that there is something otherworldly about tango. A friend of mine who runs a political film distribution company in Vancouver, Canada, send me an email while I was in Buenos Aires, in the middle of August, asking me if I was still dancing as the world was going to pieces. It is true that one can completely lose oneself in the world of milongas, especially in a place like Buenos Aires. I personally don't think there is anything wrong with that. It does not interfere with our ability to deal with the world when we are not dancing. (Hopefully it helps!).
Best to all,
Andrew Kaye
