Subject: Lasting Effects of Cologne

Just got back from Portland last night and read all the messages on this
theme today. Had a wonderful time in Portland by the way.

Personally, I know several people who are allergic to cologne, so for them
any is too much. However, that said, I have had some horrible experiences
myself. Men who's cologne rubbed off on me just from a kiss and hug hello,
much less dancing. Men who's cologne still reeked on me when I went to bed,
or even the next day. Unfortunately, it's never a scent I liked either, but
always one I can't stand. There are a few men I just don't want to dance
with at all because their cologne is so unpleasant and strong.

However, I have also seen it be a problem with women. I have danced with
men after they had danced with a woman who's cologne (a scent really
unpleasant to me) was so strong it rubbed off on them and then rubbed off on
me. Cologne so strong you could smell it strongly 20 or 30 feet away. For
a long time I thought one of the men here wore a strong cologne I really
didn't like, then after several months I realized it was rubbing off on him
from one of the women here. I finally mentioned it to her, and she seemed
to have no idea it was so strong!

I prefer to dance close embrace most of the time now, but recently realized
that with one man here, if I stay a little open, his cologne doesn't rub off
on me quite as much. Still, I would prefer he not wear it at all. I would
definitely enjoy dancing with him more then.

Cammie in Denver.
