Hello list,

very strange how lots of people who never posted before suddenly pop up on
the list to spill their venom - and I am not talking about Lucia.
She expressed an opinion (!) that probably many other people share, and
she has been (probably maliciously) misinterpreted. As I understand her
post, she didn4t talk so much about physical weight. Everyone who has seen
Brosnan as Bond should really understand what she meant.
I would agree that Anton is (still) lacking a bit in stage presence,
mainly due to his youth - and youthful looks. That doesn4t say anything
about his technical skill, which is considerable. I find it strange,
however, that people talk about the "real milongueros" and in the same
thread call show dancers *the* masters of tango, and a young show couple
the future of tango.
I have enormous respect for top-notch professional dancers, but I feel
that somehow stage tango is something *about* tango, not the tango itself.
Also, attacking Daniel because of his slightly ridiculous dance outfits of
his pre-tango years is pretty petty.
So now, I have probably opened myself for all kinds of attacks. Yawn.
