Actual information after a round of phone calls

Viejo correo: will not open
Gricel: will not open today and tomorrow
Nuevo Salon la Argentina: will not open

Confiteria ideal: two milongas today, the evening one (El abrazo tango club) and the night one (Pasional) . Warning : there is no air conditioning as far as I remember , and if there is one , it will be not enough for all the people assisting. However there are wall fans that more or less ensure that everyone will receive the share of heat that desserves :)

Circulo Trovador : yes, it is at the province , the closing does not affect them

Club Platense: there was an information that today night a milonga would be held, but I have been calling to the lunch room where it is held, and they have until now (friday 7/1 10.35 am) no idea of this . The telephone of the lunch room is 4 796 5412 and they barely speak spanish , so be patient with your phone calls.


Just a general comment from a tango organizer of the Vicente Lopez area , about what is happening . It seems Circulo Trovador is becoming the light tower into this tango city darkness of the milongas. This persons hosts a milonga on thursday at Vicente Lopez and told me she is considering to take a break next thrusday and close for holidays, since yesterday her milonga was almost empty , and Circulo Trovador was full of people, but they were confortable inside, since there is air conditioning and enough space.
