I didn't see her do anything that wasn't lead. Can you
pinpoint the minutes/seconds when you think she backleads?
Good dancers have a number of tools with which to lead.
For example, simply inhaling and exhaling can invite
different movements.

Yes, but discounting the effects on the body that emotional
states produce automatically limits the quality of your
connection. And I'm not talking about sexual chemistry. I
believe it was Cacho Dante who wrote once about falling in
love with every woman he dances with. The first time I
really felt a "wow" connection was with him on our very
first dance together. It was "wow" but not "hot".

Trini

Exactly like you said:
"..simply inhaling and exhaling can invite different movements."

Simply making the right embrace will recall emotions of the good dance.
And just a thought about a body core [Astrid] and posture will produce
immediate results.

I think you had "Wow" connection with Cacho Dante not because you was
impressed with his fame, or he felt in love with you for that dance.
But because he was so skilled in dancing and connection, that it offest all
your flaws.
And you felt that "Wow".

Igor.

I agree with Trini that there is nothing in that sequence that
wasn't fully led by Jorge.

The only turn commences at 47 seconds and Jorge leads the
girl into a RF Back Cross while stepping forward with his RF
outside partner with body turn to right. This a very common
and very strong lead for a turn to right.

I suspect the class was about Ocho Cortados as Jorge leads
quite a few in this brief sequence, including one after the turn
described above. This is a nice position for an Ocho Cortado
and, in this position, much better than a Front Cross because
it's easier to maintain the close embrace that Jorge uses.

Mario - it's the sign of a good leader that you can't actually
see how he does what he does. It certainly doesn't mean
the girl did it with no lead - that would be extremely rare,
especially in BsAs.

On our first dance, Cacho approached me very sweetly, with
a shy smile, the way a shy young man would ask a young lady
to dance (very different from some men today!). The "wow"
was felt as soon as we embraced, before a single step was
taken. The first night we danced several times and it was
"wow". On another night, it was "wow" until he "fell out
of love" with me for about 30 seconds. I sensed the change
in him immediately in our embrace, which affected our
dance. If you think us gals can't read a man's emotional
state when dancing, think again.

Oh, and with Cacho, women have no flaws. ;-)

Going to DC on Sunday and hoping to get in a milonga. See
folks then!
