Any Japanese speaking person on the list? Does Do-Dom-Pa mean quick-quick-slow? ;-)

Search from anywhere on the Web and block those annoying pop-ups.

Yes, there is...

Does Do-Dom-Pa mean quick-quick-slow? ;-)

I am sorry to disappoint you, but "dodompa" does not mean anything in
Japanese. And nobody calls any tango style here that either, to my
knowledge. (of course, there may be some people in their seventies around
who know better).
"Dodon" could mean something like the sound when something falls to the
floor, or when someone stumbles. Pa may be a loud sound of something
exploding.
This sounds to me like one of those news published in Japan, like "gymnema
is all the rage in America right now". Gymnema is an extract from some
Malaysian tree that breaks down sugar and is a diet supplement, but I did
not find one single US fitness mag that mentioned it with one single word at
the time. Of course, nobody here can check up on that usually, but "being
all the rage in America right now- Things" may sell better. So, dodompa may
just be one of those news on the other side of the pond....

Continue to I am new to this list, but I used to post here many years ago in the beginning days of tango in 1997. | ARTICLE INDEX
