I wish to say Thank You to one of Portland's best-kept secrets...Robert Hauk.
because he has single-handedly elevated the level of tango in Cleveland and
neighboring cities like Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Ann Arbor, Mich.
Many great instructors have come to Cleveland in the past and taught Tango.
But Robert's instruction has left the most indelible mark on everyone's' mind
that he has come in contact with. His instructions are so clear and easy to
follow and the concepts DON'T leave your feet, even thought the instructor has
left and has gone home. Robert was so impressed when he saw that the people
attending his classes this weekend, were using all of his instructions from the
past three workshops (March, June, and August.)
Robert felt that teaching on our small dance floor was key to getting his
concept of navigation across to us. He teaches the conceptual building blocks of
tango (rather than choreographed steps) in a non stressful way, so we can
really make the dance our own.
Should Robert come to your area, please make sure to make the effort to
attending his classes.
