No, no, no, Astrid. Let me update you.
You mean Natacha danced (past tense) with Herrera. Natacha has been dancing
and teaching with Fabian Peralta for at least six months. They competed in
the World Tango Championships and placed third; Herrera was a finals judge.
She's called "renowned" because she learned tango six years ago from Miguel
Zotto.
Dance partners change so often it's difficult to keep track. Herrera
started off with Vanina Bilous, then danced with Lorena Yacono in Tango
Argentino, later with Jorgelina Guzzi (Copello's former partner), then with
Natacha, and will teach with Tamara Bisceglia in October.
That's the latest, but I'll keep you posted since things may change next
month.

Except that....Natacha has been dancing for over 10 years, at least 4 years
before she met Miguel. She got started at a Folklore ballet company and
then segued into tango via an impromptu audition. Gotta get those facts
straight if you're gonna represent that you're the expert, especially since
you said that you've never met or talked to her.

As Roberto Herrera's international representative and as a personal
friend of Natacha Poberaj, I find it hard to understand the
sarcasm... First of all, I've been dancing for seven years and met
Natacha during my first visit to Argentina in 99 when she was already
a professional. In the year 2000 she entered Tango x 2 and took part
in a couple of world tours as partner alternatively of Ricardo
Barrios and Jesus Velazquez. She is also featured in the superb dvd
of Una Noche de Tango. She left Tango x 2 when Roberto asked her to
be his dance partner (she had already worked with him as a
choreography assistant when he was still with Vanina Bilous at El
Querandi) and spent three years with him in Argentina and around the
world. Together, they took part in at least 2 CITA editions and in
many many European festivals. They then decided to go different ways
and the last thing Natacha told me is that she'll be in New York at
the end of this week. Look out for her! She loves going to the
milongas. She's tall and very good looking, an independent spirit and
the best female teacher I've had because, apart from the years of
teaching experience she has, tango for her is not just a profession,
it's a passion! She's the one who taught me what "entrega" really
meant. I do not represent her and have no financial interest in this
but I highly recommend taking classes with her to everyone, leader or
follower.
