Nicole, I hope you were joking about that list.
I'm no good at reading sarcasm. :)

But on a more serious note, I had heard stories
from friends about the infamous "No Show List,"
and I was more than a little stunned to hear of
its existence at all. Can someone who was at the
Miami Tango Fantasy explain why such a thing was
necessary?

I, for one, hope to be at the September festival
in Ann Arbor.

Cheers,
Linda

No, that wasn't sarcasm, Linda...I'm sorry to say. Maybe the idea of Igor and Ann Arbor community being put on the list maybe was sarcasm but, that infamous "no show list", whether on paper or not, does exist and most of us in Miami know if we are on it or not. Why is it necessary? Of course it's not necessary. If you really want the answer to that, you should ask the one who created the list. In my opinion, we have too small of a population of tango dancers in this world...I'd wish we'd all just get along so we can make it grow, not stunt it's growth by dividing ourselves, and competing against each other, and being so opinionated and judgmental that we can't realize that we all share the same thing....we love this thing called tango, whatever it means to each of us as an individual.
