1890 Nochero Soy

Subject: Nochero Soy
One of my favorite Pugliese tangos is "Nochero Soy".
In this context "Soy" I presume is the spanish "I am".
"Nochero" in my Lunfardo dictionary equates to:
"coche de plaza que trabaja durante la noche"
which I further translate into:
"coach (or auto) of the squares that works during the night".
There is also a quote:
"Los nocheros cruzan la calle en sus Victorias desvencijadas".
which I translate into:
"The nocheros cruise the street in their rickety/broken-down
Victorias (?)"
Could anyone familiar with this term or translation further clarify the
meaning of "Nochero"?

Most milongueros dance through the night (
trasnochar) and then must sleep in the daytime.
