Sergio said that Kate's article had to be a fabrication or a joke.

You replied that it was not.

I said that you did not know what you were talking about.

Kate said that the article in question was a joke.

Now you say that you were right anyways.

I can see Sergio's predicament.

PS. How old are you 13? Buy the way I agree, you are right. No need to discuss any further ok ?

Hardly. I stated that it was not absurd in that it helped illustrate
Kate's point.

"It stands to reason that the paragraph may be but a synopsis of what may
have taken place. But it is not at all absurd in illustrating the
possible confusion."

MAY is hardly a definitive word or is it? A synopsis is a by definition:
"A general view or summary of something, especially a condensed summary
of a story."

Now try reading what is written than what you want it to mean.
