Dear Tango Aficionados,

The New York Times reported this morning that Madeleine Hackney of
Washington University in St. Louis published a study in the December issue
of the Journal of Neurologic Physical Therapy entitled "Effects of Tango on
Functional Mobility in Parkinson's Disease", where tango was compared to
exercise classes as a treatment for symptoms of Parkinson's disease.
Preliminary results indicate that taking tango lessons was found to offer
improvements in balance not seen with taking exercise classes.

(sorry - cut&paste isn't working this morning, but you can google it, or the
author's name, to get the link)

All the best,
