Greetings to all PorteC1os and all those who are not but wish to write it well.
Now that the C in PorteC1o is an issue I hope this should be helpful to those wishing to
write Spanish characters. If you do it frequently, the best way is to adjust your
language settings in Windows and include Spanish in the regional settings in Windows.
Then you can download a little program from MS that tells you what keys do when you use
the Spanish keyboard layout when using the Spanish settings in Windows. It is much
simpler (though not as much fun) as learning to dance the Tango.

If you are not a frequent user of Spanish, it is easier yet to do the following:

1. On the keyboard numeric keypad, press NumLock so that the NumLock light
comes on.
2. Hold down the Alt key.
3. On the numeric keypad on the right of the keyboard, type the following 3
digit code.
4. Release the Alt key.

Alt+160 = C!
Alt+130 = C)
Alt+161 = C-
Alt+162 = C3
Alt+163 = C:
Alt+164 = C1
Alt+165 = C
Alt+129 = C<
Alt+173 = B!
Alt+168 = B?
Alt+174 = B+
Alt+175 = B;
Alt+167 = B:
Alt+166 = B*

- Print the this email for the use of the Alt keys + the numbers and keep them handy. -

To Robert Ramsey-Turner from Auckland New Zealand, thanks for a wonderful email.
Cheers to all tangueros,

Julio Fernandez

Sorry, the Unicode thing in windows played me a trick and the thing did not come through
showing the right characters as intended. However Rick Jones posted the same thing and his
did came through.
Cheers.
