This is a remarkably stupid discussion. Like asking which color of the
rainbow we can do without.

Like asking if it is better to chop off a hand or foot. Poke out an
eye, cut off one's nose, or carve out one's genitalia. Cut off one's
head, or gouge out one's heart. Destroy one's nervous system, or drain
all one's blood.

Skimping on any of the elements of tango will cripple you or kill
you as a dancer. Better to ask, not what we can do without,
but how we can have it all.
