I agree with the sentiments that Dan Boccia has expressed:

>Let's all dance together, let's embrace and celebrate our
>collective variety and diversity, and let's put some positive

I also think it is valuable for new dancers to recognize that there are
diversity of style and individual variations. A style that appeals to one
prospective dancer may not appeal to another. Knowing that there is a
choice can be helpful. In addition, going to teachers with substantially
different styles can be confusing to beginners. Knowing that there can be
substantial differences in approaches can also be helpful.
