Subject: Response to old tangos
I'm having a boring day at work so I am amusing myself
by listening to tango and studying lyrics.
So I decided to have a little fun and write a response
to some of the old tangos from a female perspective.
Here's what I have as a first draft:
You sing to me of betrayal
the anguish and grief of loving,
but what do you know of love?
You drink and smoke
You act like everyone in the room
should want you,
You live in a fantasy.
Hold me and show me
the type of man you are
treat me like a goddess
and I promise you'll never forget me
I'll leave you in the morning
complaining of a broken heart
but I know that in the night
you'll be back for more....
