- It will be awhile before a tango follower is produced - this model is on a
fixed vertical rotational axis on wheels, which creates a "steel skirt"
effect that limits things like leg/foot interaction for barridas, ganchos,
boleos, sacadas. So, it's still true that "if you can walk, you can tango" -
this doesn't walk, it rolls, so no tango yet.
- Even now, though, the idea of responsive technology inherent in things
like this and in the Segway human transporter offers exciting possibilities
for training leaders. When the walking-capable "Robot Tanguera" is
introduced, this will potentially be an excellent tool for untraining bad
habits out of beginning/intermediate leaders, in private, where there's no
one to hear him say "I didn't lead that!"
