I enjoy reading your post Sean
I'd maybe like to change a few words you use in a strong lead.
You bend you knee to get a longer step.
See if this maybe sounds a little better.
You should lower your self to get a longer step.
When you lower yourself you knee bends automatically. And when your lower to
the ground, you can take a longer step.
Example: go up on your toes and try and take a long step, you can't.
Even in ballroom they teach you go down for the show long steps and rise for
the short quick steps.
The closer you get to the floor the more you have to bend you knee.
It's impossible to bend you knee the higher away from the floor you are.
