I didn't see anyone do the translation. So, I thought
I'd try it. I don't speak Spanish. There were parts
I wasn't sure of.

TABOO SUBJECT TRANSLATION WORK ORDER, I request that
somebody translates this.

Dear members of the *Argentine* Tango list,

There exists from part of the foreign public
(USA-Europe-Asia, etc.) an honest absolute _belief_ in
the Tango Argentino that they get -- to such a point
that the majority believe that the great shows that
inspire them (Tango Argentino, Forever Tango, Tango
Pasion, and others) opened in Argentina and therefore
represent it. They did not open (premier) in
Argentina, or they tried it after worldwide success
and failed. I have received from various Argentineans
the expressed order to not touch this taboo subject
because it would be bad for business. As I am not
interested in business, I shall continue.

Do foreigners think that the stuff they get from
traveling teachers (more or less *performers*) is the
same Tango Argentino (or some form of its evolution)
that also exists in Buenos Aires? I invite everyone
to Buenos Aires to verify two things: a) The people
who dance Argentine tango have nothing to do with the
shows, and b) their beloved "Teachers and Show
Dancers" neither frequent nor frequented the dance
floors or MILONGAS, except for nowadays the former
[teachers] at places where the _market of potential
foreign potential students_ meets. (There are also
honorable exceptions, very few.) The consequence of
this: with a _naive_ attitude a large part of the
foreign public consumes a Tango Argentino that doesn't
exist here (but thanks to which we receive many
visitors who help us with their presence). I know
that this is a subject that will not be received with
pleasure, but it is good to discover it someday.

I'll be glad to tell Miquel Zotto next time he is in town that you said that. Renowned as a choreographer and performer of Tango x 2, yes, but he also grew up in the milongas and still frequents them regularly. He is only one example of these teachers you seem to disregard who is a true milonguero and dances only as such when dancing in a milonga, and understands the difference to what you put on stage and what you dance on the floor. Carlos, you really seriously believe that teachers teach one thing down there and then teach another thing here? So, they've invented a tango form to export? Well, I know tons of people who have studied in both areas who would contradict that. And you can't convince me there is only one way being taught in BA. I know many that will contradict that too.

doesn't sound so succesfully like you try to show.-
Also your techical comments looks too ballroom and
choreograph ideas.... from where comes? from your
"Tango for Export " teachers?
