Cesar Cigliutti (45) a university professor and Marcelo Suntheim (35) were
united by Civil Ceremony of marriage yesterday at 4:15 pm.
The government of the City of Buenos Aires took special care to celebrate
this, the first gay union in the country.

The just married happy couple arrived under a rain of rose petals, the
street was closed to traffic for two hours due to the number of people that
gathered for the occasion.

The employees of the Department of Vital Statistics (Registro Civil) came
out to wish the newly wed much happiness together with family, friends,
photographers and neighbors.

Fireworks, Champagne and tango closed the celebration.
