As alert and poised
As a beast of pray
Emotion floods
Everything you are.

The music raises your spirit
And you quickly glide
Together across the wooden floor
A turn, a crossover, and embrace

You dance as one
It is only you and your partner
Well crafted spins, and
And are very being is living through our dance.

You catch the intense
sparkle of your partners eyes
You move as smoothly as silk on marble
You dance ever so close.

Your song is your dance
You sing your way through each step
As year near the end of this intense connection
You begin to come together.

And you drop as one to the
Well polished wooden floor
Suit and gown an artists painting
Your emotion has guided your design.
