Dear list, dear tango guy.

After sixteen years of tangoing for fun, professionally and fanatically I
have read this:

Tango guy wrote: "It is also a dance of artistic interpretation, musicality,
connection and passion which depends on the romantic and passionate feelings
between a man and a woman. These feelings cannot occur between people of the
same sex unless they are gay."

Well, I am gay, and I dance more with women
than with men.... WHAT is wrong with me?

WHAT is passion, WHAT is feeling, WHAT is this freedom if we put it to a
certain shape in which we SHOULD mould it.

If you start with passion, feeling, connection, etcetera than the form will
derive.

If you start with the shape and than with passion, feeling etcetera you will
mostly end up with emptyness and frustration.

Please respect the dance by being non judgemental and don't do the things
that you don't want to.



AND: teaching and learning are not the same as dancing, so look open minded
at things and trust the teacher. Only than you can have a learning moment
from which your dance can take advantage.
