Dear listeros
All the annalysis about leading and following are extremely thorough and rational.
Please don t forget Tango dance is also about meeting / encounter

Argentine writer Julio Cortazad wrote in Rayuela/Hopscoth -Chapter 6

Oliveira was fascinated by the totally non reasoning of The Magician , her calm disregard toward the most elementary calculations.
Facts that for him were probabilistic annalysis, election, or simply trust on the ambulatory rabdomancy , turn to her into simple fatality.

" And if you had not found me ?", he asked her

" I don4t know , you see you are here "

Alberto,

Your choice of this passage provides an epiphany that illuminates the
deepest possibilities of the dance. Beautifully apropos!

Thank you many times!

just wanted to add that i probably lead 50% of the time and i agree with rose...people are multi - faceted and carry sometimes what would appear to be contradictory traits...for me, i guess it's all about balance..so yes rose, when i lead, i'm jackie...when i follow, i'm jackie... so i feel comfortable with both...

and jay's comment about how the "roles" interact and change during the dance rescinated for me. the dialogue of tango does require receptiveness from both partners...

i know we've spoken about this before on tango l but this time, it felt reasonable..thank you
