Subject: summer tango in Venice?

Is there any tango to be danced in Venice or nearby in late July or early
August? All the sites I have checked look like everybody is taking a long
holiday in summer. Could someone please let me know ?

Dear Astrid,

Unless you are heading for a well publicised festival,
don't expect any signs of normal life in Italy in
July/August. From my own experience it is to be
avoided in the summer. The natives [and milongas
depend on natives] just disappear. Everything closes
down for at least a month.
