Jim,
Good to see you back. A provocative post that I will chew on
like a fried clam sandwich!

My first thought is that I object to the word "only" as I'm always
suspicious of reductionist explanations.

"Tango is a substitute for intimacy" hmmmm, well, it certainly can be
substituted for intimacy, BUT can intimacy be substituted for tango?

I'm still thinking, reading, researching trying to get better insights
into what is music, what is dancing? These seems harder to understand than
intimacy, though I could be mistaken. What are your thoughts on music and
dance?
