"No, pibe, eso no es tango."

Anibal Troilo
(as quoted in Tango! by Simon Collier)

Did you hear that, or was Troilo a cretin
too?

And what is the point of your nasty flame
to a respectful, well-presented opinion?
(As you can see by this question, I haven't
yet learned the lesson you spoke of.)

And then Piazzolla went to Pugliese and asked his
opinion, and Osvaldo listened to it and said that
indeed it was Tango.

And later on, Troilo would ask Piazzolla to send him
his tangos and arrangements.

And when Goyoneche was asked if "Balada para un loco"
was a tango, he said, "No. Es un Tangazo!"

And so on ...

Read "Astor Piazzolla - A Memoir" - by Natalio Gorin.
You may learn a lot from it.

Cheers,
El Duke.
