Concerning the last posting of Rick Mc Garrey about Anselmo Aieta music, it is really a pity being so difficult to obtain recordings from this gifted composer.
He wrote some music scores that will keep forever I think.
His piece "El huerfano" had a huge success in 1912, and Carlos Gardel asked him to sung this tango.
"Siga el corso" was presented some years ago at a Tango Festival in Brazil (Porto Alegre canta Tango) , with an arrangement from Brian Chambouleyron .
Palomita Blanca, La Violetera, Mariposita, Suerte loca.

All selections are very personal , since Aieta wrote many other compositions . One of this compositions have a story about it . It seems that Aieta4s wife do not like playing bandoneon at home , so he squeeze to a nearby cafi to rehearse and to meet their fellow musicians. One day he was playing with the keys of his bandoneon , and a melody arise . When a friend came to the cafi and listened to the music asked him " Anselmo, what are you playing , is a new music ? ".
And Aieta answered " no, is nothing, just a Pavadita/nuisance" . And Pavadita kept as the name of this beautiful composition , usually played at tandas , as the last part of a tanda of valsecitos from De Angelis, since the version of De Angelis of Pavadita is a really good one.

Warm regards
