Karen Corriea & Julio Corazza,

The Tango-L is not an appropriate forum for your
newsletter. Aside from being excessively lengthy, a
major transgression in itself, the contents are of
interest mostly to people who are living in BsAs or
are planning to travel, or have been, there. My guess
is they are a small minority on the List. Why don't
you put your newsletter on the web and publish the URL
instead?

Just because we don't have anybody monitoring the List
at the moment doesn't mean we can go hogwild with our
posts.

Luda

I personally have no issue with receiving the TangoPartner's newsletter here on Tango-L. I enjoy reading it. I would also click on a link to get to it, to read it. I'm certainly not an expert on what belongs here & what doesn't. I'd probably defer to someone like Stephen Brown, who knows quite a bit more than me about usage. r

Hi,
it is generally against netiquette to send something like a newsletter
where you usually opt in,
i.e . you subscribe to it, to a list, where there is not really somebody
who can unsubscribe
for the list. And as long as not all of the recipients of the list have
opted to have it, the way
should be to inform the people on the list about this newsletter and invite
them to subscribe
themselves personally.
Whether you get the newsletter or the URL (web address) to it, it is one
mail anyway. An
URL is preferable as those with slow access (yes, not everybody has a
flatrate and broadband
access yet) will not suffer that much from downloading an unwanted email.

Happy Tangos from sunny Munich
