"Torso lead" is certainly one way of visualizing and explaining how to
satisfy Daniel's requirement. I note in passing that the root of both
Luciana's and Daniel's injunctions is "make her go first" - this allows for
many interpretations and images of exactly how to "make her" do something,
including "torso lead", as long as they work.

I should note that I don't really see any follower lead in this
sequence of events.

I agree - I never actually heard Daniel or Luciana or anyone else talk about
"follower lead", which seems an awkward contradictory term to me - leaders
were essentially directed to "follow her follow of your lead" or "accompany
her as she follows your lead" - in my view all reducible to the simple "make
her go first."

All the best,
