"Because bamboo is treated during manufacturing, it
doesn't attract termites or ants."

(Boring non-tango) Caveat: www.demesne.info does not
appear to be a front for manufacturers. However, this
page reads like it was written by a marketing person.
It is a beginning to an answer to your question, but I
would not rely on it without seeing actual test
results and the test protocol.

Marketing lies are so prevalent that as far as US
courts are concerned, an architect must presume that
all marketing is false or misleading. If an architect
specifies or approves a product based on the
manufacturer's claims, he is negligent. If the product
fails, he, not the manufacturer, will be held liable.
