Bob Moretti Obituary
Argentine Tango Dancer and Tango writer Bob Moretti passed away Wednesday
morning June 22nd in his sleep. He was never in any pain. The family is
grateful that he did not linger and his wife Gene was at his side to say
goodbye.
The graveside services will be held at 11am, Monday, June 27th at the Chico
Cemetery at the corners of 1st & Mangrove Avenues, Chico, California. Brusie
Funeral Home, 626 Broadway, Chico, California, 530-342-5642, is handling
arrangements.
Bob’s son Johnny toured tsunami-torn Thailand following that disaster and has
since developed an organization to raise funds to develop playgrounds for the
children of Thailand. Bob has made a request for no flowers. If people desire
to show their respects it is his request that you donate to his son’s

Bob Moretti was a Tango dancer in the San Francisco area for over 12 years and
has touched many lives. When Stanford University tossed the Tango Week program
to Nora Dinzelbacher, Bob Moretti became her business partner and consultant.
Bob made many trips to Buenos Aires over the years for tango and for his last
adventure, his tango play.
Bob, wherever you are, keeping dancing!!

Those of us in the Miami Tango community who knew Bob Moretti and danced on
the same dance floors with him, regret his passing and send our deepest
condolences to his wife Gene, his family and the entire tango community of San
Francisco.
What a great loss to tango......His contributions to tango were incredible
!!!
Remembering...He smiled when he accomplished a particularly difficult
sequence on the tango dance floor !!
Keep dancing bob, and keep smiling !!!
