thank you so much for the dozens of replies i got
trying to help me. as it turns out i now think that
the song wasn't "me quede mirandola" but "ensueno"
(ensuenio, sorry i don't know how to key in that
spanish letter).
it's NOT the di sarli version, it's more modern and
there are no lyrics. it was the peice of music a
couple performed to at one of arturo's parties in
bs.as.. i only saw a video of it on someone else's
computer (shalom) and he didn't know the name of the
couple or the song or the orchestra.
anyway, the song is beatiful.

Hi Robin

If it's `Ensuen~os', there is a version by Quinteto real on Nuestros 30
mejores tangos -- track 5 on vol. 2. It definitely is beautiful, is fairly
modern, and is an instrumental version. Check some info here:
https://www.milonga.co.uk/tango/quinteto_real/quinteto_real.html

Cheers,

Chanop

Ensuen~o and Ensuen~os would seem to be at least two different tangos.

According to several CD booklets, Ensuen~o was written by Antonio Sureda and Homero Manzi.
Zival's lists recordings by
Francisco Fiorentino
Orquesta Tipica Victor
Felipe Antonio
Cuarteto Cedron

There may be as many as three different Ensuen~os.

The booklet for Quinteto Real's two CD set Nuestros 30 Mejores Tangos
credits Enrique Cadicamo and Luis Brighenti for writing Ensuen~os.

Zival's lists five recordings of Ensuen~os with a variety of composers and
lyrcists.

Quinteto Los Taurus (Enrique Cadicamo/Luis Brighenti)
Quinteto Real (Enrique Cadicamo/Luis Brighenti)
Nuevo Quinteto Real (Juan Salvatore/Armando Taggini)
Rios Antonio (Juan Salvatore/Armando Taggini)
Orquesta Andres Linetzky (Jaime Wilensky)

With best regards,
Steve

But Ensue๑o is a vals, as per Fiorentino's rendition, isn't it? An
Di Sarli's Ensue๑os seems to be composed by Enrique Cadicamo and Luis
Brighenti, also is an instrumental version.
