Subject: Copyright-free Tango music
Hi tango list,
The dance school where I teach tango is putting together
a corporate video of the various dances they offer. One
of the topics raised in discussion is the right to use
copyrighted music in production as background sounds.
We would like to understand the issues even though this
is not to be a product for sale.
I would like to consult the list: is there any tango
music that you know of that can be used copyright free?
If we take a composition with uncertain author,
say La Cumparsita, and arrange it ourselves on MIDI,
does that remove all legal encumberance from both
composer and performer rights?
