hola List-

Does anyone know which orchestra performed "Que Nadie Sepa Mi Sufrir" as a
tango? Who was the singer, and who was the band leader?

Was it performed by more than one tango orchestra?

In Mexico, "Que Nadie Sepa Mi Sufrir" has been arranged as a waltz, and was
covered as such by the L.A. band, Los Lobos, on "La Pistola y El Corazon".
In France it was recorded by Edith Piaf as "La Foule".

Thank you.

Gigi

I don't know about earlier recordings of that song,
which must be numerous, but you can check out the
latest version by Sandra Luna, a pretty good Argentine
singer; it appears on her latest album "Tango Varon".
This album was released some 10 days ago in Europe and
I don't know that it is available elsewhere yet. For
my money, it is the weakest track on her album,
perhaps because that overplayed tune has lost some of
its freshness.
You can check her out at

Apparently the De Angelis Orchestra did it as a tango
vals with Carlos Dante as the vocalist.

Susana Rinaldi had recorded this song as well. I have a compilation CD of her songs and it is one of them. The compilation was created and sold a series on tango. I don't know which of her original albums/CDs will have this song.
