ARTICLE INDEXFrom the dance point of view tango has a beginning, a mid portion
 and an ending.

The ending could be very simple such as joining the feet together with the
last beat or to the contrary very elaborated.
One usual ending on stage exhibitions is "una sentada" (a sitting). Here the
man prepares the sitting getting himself and his partner closer to the floor
he goes up as he walks backwards, the woman takes a little jump moving her
 legs, scissor like, one and
then the other, to land on his leg. Sometimes she keeps one leg
somewhat extended for more beauty and effect. She ends sitting on his leg,
her left arm around his neck, her left leg curled around his right one and
the other leg curved in front. She dismount following the reverse moves than
 when she mounted.
I made a reference to that figure.
