Subject: vegi in BA
A very good small vegi restaurant is in Belgrano, 2 doors from the
intersection of Ciudad de la Paz, y Jorje Newbery. (Next to the corner ice
cream parlor.) I've eaten there many times. The have a nice dining room, a
little garden lunch room, and they also do take out. Nice menu of Vegi
entres, salads, juices, deserts of fruits and custards, etc. Also a small
market of organics. Note: usually only open til 10pm or so. If you have
carnivorous friends/fiends along, who wish to indulge in the usual BA redmeat
fare, they needn't dispair: just send them across the street to the corner
carwash/parilla, where they will find a good streetside meatfeast at very
reasonable price. By the way, all this is one half block from the very nice
tango guesthouse B&B, "Caseron Porteno," a place I always recommend, and where
I'm sure they would be happy to adjust their morning fare to accomodate
vegitarian guests. Call and enquire with the proprieters, Cinthia &/or
Daniel. Regards. Chas.
