Yesterday, I saw an adaption of Goethe's Faust in
Washington, DC. For those unfamilar with the story, Dr.
Faustus, an old scholar, makes a pact with the devil, signed
in blood, for youth so that he can win the hand of a maiden.
In return, he gives up his soul. (One adaption is the
Broadway play "Damn Yankees.")

I'm sure every leader has been turned down at least once by
somebody they madly wanted to dance. I'm sure every follower
has been waiting for some dashing leader to ask them to
dance but never has. Then there's another category of dancer
who wished they could execute a difficult figure but just
doesn't have enough skill or flexibility.

If the tango devil could give what you crave, would you sell
your soul in return. Remember, the deal is signed in
b-l-o-o-d!!

There are no ladies (even the self-styled elite dancers - read snobs) for
whom I would lose a drop of blood to dance with, but there are quite a few
other ladies I'd give a pint or two to take on a Tango cruise!
