Memorial Day Milonga at Cheesman Park

A quality dance event put on by dancers for dancers. First class all the way. The venue was world class; exaggeration, no - dare you to name one better. Loads of good tango dancers, all quite willing to give you the best dance of the day with DJ's spinning the best Argentina has to offer. Food fit for a King, and wonderful hospitable companions. One small fly in the ointment, a few who don't understand there is no free lunch. For those offended by Tango Colorado's request for a $10 donation, I respect your sensibilities; but in the vernacular, you are known as cheap bastards. Pat Crotty, Denver CO

Yes, it was a fabulous evening. Best to let people know in advance that a
donation is appreciated, so they are not showing up without wallets and
being labeled "cheap bastards."

Quite the memorable evening - apparently with after-effects and name-calling
too. People will dance at Cheesman Park whether or not there is food. I
doubt people will stop going to that milonga if you charge for the food but
you might certainly be toeing the line by calling them names.
The term 'donation' itself suggests an act of volition.
By the way, how much for a couple of slices of watermelon?
