Discovered Wikipedia today (like Columbus years after native Americans).
Search for tango produced quite a few results including well informed
article on tango the dance. The well informed description is not surprising
since anyone can add, edit articles at wiki - it's the nature of these
sites.

A few things I wasn't aware of:

Apparently similar to Finnish tango there is Chinese variety of the
dance. I wonder how different is it from Argentine tango. Is there Chinese
tango music? How does it sound?

Link between fashion and dance style: tango canyengue was danced in the
1920s and 30s when the long tight fashion in dresses restricted the
follower's movements. Consequently, the style involves short steps. Makes
sense.
