Subject: Tango Fantasy -- Miami Beach: a brief report

The seventh annual Tango Fantasy at the Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach
concluded Sunday night. Randy Pittman and Lydia Henson organize and host
a wonderful event. As always the 2003 faculty was made up of people at
the top of their profession--Juan Carlos Copes & Johana, Miguel Angel
Zotto & Soledad Rivero, Osvaldo Zotto & Lorena Ermocida, Fabian Salas &
Carolina Del Rivero, Facundo & Kely Posadas, and Carolina Zokalski & Diego
Di Falco. In addition, Randy and Lydia and their staff pay attention to
all the details so that the faculty can focus on their classes.

The Tango Fantasy had four 1.5 hour classes daily, milongas every night
(many into the late hours of the morning), and dancers from all over the
country. Because the Fontainebleau Hotel is right on the beach, many
whose feet, legs or minds grew tired took breaks to the beach or swimming
pool. 2003 was the first year Susan and I attended, but we plan to return
in future years.

My thanks to Randy and Lydia for creating such a great event.

My best wishes to Richard and Collette who won the USTC dance competition
on Sunday night and will represent the United States in the USDSC/IDO
World Argentine Tango Dance Championship.
