As a relative beginner, I find these
conversations on the Internet to be at least
interesting if not down-right enlightening.

I have found that the Milonga dance was the
easiest to learn. I assume it is because you can
dance a Milonga and enjoy it, without really
thinking ahead much to move from one sequence (or
sub-sequence) to another as you move around the
room.

All the Milonga steps I have been taught have
been easy to incorporate into a dance with a
partner.

Whereas, (BEGINNER ISSUES) with the Tango, I have
had ups and downs - early on I actually went to
the Practicas and danced - now I have backed off.

One problem has been a physical one that I am
overcoming (back surgery awhile back), the other
is probably just a plateau - that soon I will be
allowing the Tango to come out of me in unison
with the music and musicality (whether it is 4/4
or 2/4).

I will be taking a course in the Apilado next as
well as one focused on the Tango in general.

Thanks for any comments.
