Thanks to everyone who sent me weblinks of video clips
of close-embrace dancing. I am happy to report that
after I shared some of them with my students (close,
open/mix, nuevo clips), I noticed new dance shoes,
nicer haircuts, and more questions about other
practicas/lessons at the subsequent class. And a
definite continued interest by the young men, despite
the shortage of women in the class.

But I suppose to be "authentic", I should tell these
young men that they cannot dance with a woman for a
year to follow the old way of teaching. Yeah, right.

Hello again,

First, minor error on my last response to Steve. I
meant "owner of the dance" in my first sentence, not
"owner of the milonga".

Second, I had been sending this compilation of video
clips (open & close) out only to those who asked for
it privately. Partly because I feared that some would
start criticizing some of these artists as being
"unauthentic" or "fake". But after hearing from a
beginner, I decided to share this list publicly for
those who are genuinly interested in learning.

I think it is quite generous of these artists to share
with the world their style of tango. I hope others
see it from that viewpoint as well.

Heres a compilation of videos I found (arranged from
closed to open-embrace). Getting the latest version
of Quicktime will help. Special mention of Igor
Polk's webpage which had several links.

Thank you, Trini!

I'd like to amend your collection with
Eva Lucero & Patricio Touceda
https://www.tangonetwork.com/aboutus/videos.htm

It has two videos.
Watch the first very informative video of their little performance.
The second video is a video of their class which is not presented very well
to my deepest regret.
I know Patricio and Eva as wonderful and very knowledgeable teachers. Last
year in Portland they have opened the most important secrets of close
embrace dancing to the crowd of 100 of astonished people. Why not a 1000?
