by following

Dear All:

A famous leader during the French revolution once
said, "I will lead the crowd wherever I follow them."
Maybe women in the USA should consider how leadership
really works. One cannot be a leader without support.

In Argentine Tango, it is the man who supports the
woman. He gives her everything, so she can do her
thing. He even wears black, so he becomes invisible.
The woman wears the bright colors because she is the
star. In Argentine Tango we only see the woman. So
now, the question is, "Who is the leader?".

Maybe you girls in the USA should think about the
above, next time you want to be the drummer. Why be
content to simply mark the beat for others. Why not
put your trust in a man and be the one that plays the
lead melody. You can walk or you can fly? It your
choice.

Think of it another way: I "mark" or indicate direction, my partner steps,
I follow. Who is leading and who is following, its semantics. Tango is
sharing. Sharing requires at least two people. If some level of sharing is not
there it is not a dance. If it is not a dance it is not Tango. The key is to
enjoy and to maximize that enjoyment. The only gender bias is what we each add,
if the result is enjoyment then life is good. If not, then life could be
better. The point is the decision is between two people who have made a choice
not the peanut gallery. If it is good for them and they hurt no one, there is
no problem. Life is choices.

Dance on....
